1:30 PM -- Yes, Nortel is dominating today's headlines. But before it gets lost, there's a wireless tidbit I'm hoping to use soon, about microwave backhaul:
'In the past, it was a last-resort technology,' says Amir Zoufonoun, CEO of Exalt Communications Inc. 'You went to the phone company and got leased lines, or you had the luxury of building your own fiber network.'
It's not like microwave has gone unnoticed. A webinar hosted last year by Unstrung Insider analyst Gabriel Brown pinned the microwave market at $4 billion a year, with a 70 percent market share in point-to-point backhaul links
